Face Shape Calculator
Enter the four measurements you take with a soft tape — forehead width, cheekbone width, jawline width, and face length — and this page ranks all eight face shapes against your numbers. No photo, no upload, no app: the whole thing runs in your browser, so your measurements never leave this page.
Result
The ranked list appears here once you enter all four numbers. Conditions marked green matched your measurements; conditions marked red did not.
Why four numbers instead of a photo
A photo asks a camera to guess contours from pixels. Four tape measurements ask you nothing at all about lighting, lens distortion, or angle — and they are repeatable: you can take them again tomorrow and get the same answer. That is also why this calculator does not need you to send anything anywhere. Everything happens on this page.
How the ranking works
Only relative comparisons are used — never absolute centimeter ranges — because that is how every serious face-shape guide states its rules, and faces do not come in centimeter-sized boxes. Each shape has two or three conditions; the score shown is how many of those conditions your measurements satisfy.
One number here is a tuning parameter rather than a published figure: "roughly equal" is decided by a 3% tie band. That band is this tool's choice, not something any study reports.
When the calculator cannot decide for you
Measurements cannot read jaw angle or chin shape, and those two features decide the closest calls:
- Round vs square — both have length roughly equal to width. The tie-breaker is the jaw: a soft curve means round, a strong straight angle means square.
- Heart vs diamond — both taper toward the chin. Heart has the widest forehead; diamond has the widest cheekbones and a pointed chin.
When two shapes tie, read your jawline in a mirror and let it vote. It is the feature that changes least with weight and age, which makes it the most stable tie-breaker available.
